Sounds and odors create the workshop’s immediate everyday atmosphere. Tools and gears line the walls as whizzing machines cut through wood. Traces of sawdust are not uncommon and hints of finishes sometimes pique the nostrils. The source of the workshop’s hard labor – a small team of eight craftsmen – work tirelessly on upcoming projects.
One of the workshop’s distinguished features is its showroom filled with furniture made from the vast spectrum of materials and finishes Atelier Viollet has worked with over the years. The “Veneer Room” contains many samples of rare woods, while the library possesses an extensive number of resources related to art, furniture and design. In the office area, sketches drawn by Jean-Paul’s grandfather hang on the wall.
Atelier Viollet is its own universe of furniture: we present not only our creations, but also our resources, materials, and history. All rooms and objects are part of the greater Atelier Viollet story.
