We are pleased to share that this month is full of exciting news and happenings around NYC.
Atelier Viollet has been selected to participate in the ‘Wanted Design Fair-Manhattan’ panel “Meet The Masters” alongside 2 other distinguished artisans in the design industry: Miriam Ellner and Pierre Finkelstein.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to give a brief presentation about our work and craft, followed by an intimate Q & A moderated by Dering Hall. We think it’s an exciting new platform to share our expertise and practices on quality, craftsmanship and design.
The “Meet The Masters” panel is on Monday, May 18th 10:30am- 11:30am in a Conversation Room at: Terminal Stores, 269 11th Avenue between 27th and 28th streets – click here to register. We hope to see you there!
And in addition to the WantedDesign fair this coming weekend, as many of you may know, it is also the opening week for the 43rd Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House.
More than an event this show house is a vocation to raise funds for much needed after school enrichment programs for New York City children through the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. Every year a line up of the industry’s top design talent transform a luxury Manhattan home into a diverse and vibrant exhibition of furnishings, art and technology.
We enjoy every time we can find a way to participate in raising funds for such a great cause with such great talent involved. This year we were happy to loan one of our Atelier Viollet original pieces, our, ‘Writing Table in Horn & Patinated Bronze‘, to our dear client Drake Design Associates for their original vignette this year. We can’t wait to see what they do with the space. Be sure to book a ticket to go see the amazing design and support an equally amazing cause for New York City youth. Here’s a peek of our Writing Table in Horn & Patinated Bronze to look for in Jamie Drake’s room…
