Atelier Viollet starts off 2022 with a new prototype: the Eden Desk. After several design evolutions, the desk features an end-grain palmwood surface that produces a snakeskin appearance. The drawer fronts are finished with a geometric mica tile surface that adds a complementary flair in contrast to the palmwood’s cascading pattern. We sought to create a piece of furniture that combines two dynamic natural materials in order to achieve an exotic and unique look that is part of the Atelier Viollet vocabulary.
The Eden Desk was designed by Jean-Paul Viollet and fabricated in-house by the Atelier Viollet team.
