Stan Loskot began working at Atelier Viollet in 2004. Having just moved to New York from Florida, he was looking for a position in an established cabinet making shop. He heard about Atelier Viollet and was intrigued by the positive reviews he received from friends. Stan showed up at the workshop, ready to show his talents and his desire to tackle any obstacles before him. Once accepted to the team, he put his skills to the fullest use.Stan plans his daily schedule at the start of each day. A fervent worker, he values the ability to work with many materials he had only heard about before coming to Atelier Viollet, such as shagreen, parchment, and horn. He also takes pleasure in the easy accessibility to any form of equipment or tools he may need, which helps move the fabrication process seamlessly without pause.Stan has revered Atelier Viollet and what it does ever since he began working here. He states that “Atelier Viollet is not a place that cuts corners. If a task requires more time, you do it.” He stresses the importance of paying attention to even the smallest details, acknowledging that it is those details that make each piece so unique. Looking at each design that comes into the shop and watching it exit completely finished, he notices that each piece has something extraordinary that separates it from the rest.
