Atelier Viollet‘s recently completed high-bar cabinet, designed by Jean-Paul Viollet, features a sophisticated combination of gypsum, palmwood, and bronze. The outer palmwood frame highlights the cabinet’s simple geometric form. This exterior compliments the lighter tones of its frosty gypsum face, creating a harmonious balance between the two colors.
The pull-out bronze tray is but another key component to the cabinet, adding both to its functionality as well as its aesthetic allure. Inside, the gypsum doors reveal a faux lizard skin interior surface. The relationship between these different materials play with color and texture that evolve at various points in the cabinet.
