Atelier Viollet has recently completed a dining table in Wenge wood and bronze, designed by interior designer Kimille Taylor. The wood’s dark tones harmonize beautifully with the hints of bronze that complete the table. The bronze ring around the table’s edges, along with the sabots, were fabricated and patinated in the workshop. In order to achieve the wood’s “rustic” effect, it was brushed upon application. Atelier Viollet does not commonly use Wenge, however, the hardwood’s darker tones make it an attractive material to work and a pleasing compliment to metals.
