Atelier Viollet recently completed a set of short tables inspired by Jean Dunand, one of the most prominent Art Deco lacquer decorators. The tables are black lacquered with a black glass top, giving them a lush reflective look. They also feature pull out extensions that protrude from either side.
We recently crafted a pair of lacquered table tops in macassar ebony and finished them with hand rubbed lacquer. They are featured in the December 2013 issue of Architectural Digest magazine. The table tops can be seen below in Giancarlo Giammetti’s New York apartment dining room in the wake of a bold Basquiat painting.
