Atelier Viollet often turns to the masters of the Art Deco period for inspiration: Jean-Michel Frank, Charlotte Perriand, Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, to name a few. Whether it is their strong attention to form or the bold use of rare materials, these talented designers made unique contributions to the stylistic movement. The coffee table seen here is a recreation of a Eugène Printz piece made in the first half of the 20th century. The top and base are composed of a patinated bronze executed by Jean-Paul himself, as seen below, for our client Jon Brent Design. The bronze table parts are held together by four vibrant, lacquered palmwood arms, a material Printz frequently incorporated in his classic pieces.
